books!

Ive been favoring fabric lately. I think one of the biggest reasons is durability.

If I have a journal or sketchbook I am going to take it places with me. This might mean to work, a local coffee shop, an airplane or into the woods. These fabrics will hold up well under that kind of wear.

books and leather!

This week I received in the mail a fantastic piece of lambskin. It is a beautiful shade of chocolate brown and is amazingly soft. One of my favorite things about working with this kind of leather is that each piece is different. You can tell that it its real because of the uniqueness and even imperfections that exist in each individual piece.

So my project for last night was again to mix two of my favorite things and to cover a couple of books with it.

Below is a custom 10x14 album with black pages. Soon this baby will be the photo guest book at a lovely vintage style wedding.

This smaller but equally wonderful agenda is approximately 5x7 and is covered from head to toe in this fantastically soft and unique piece of leather.

The inside of this book is made with archival quality, acid free, creme colored paper. This agenda can be used for any year as it does not have the day of the week corresponding to the date. It is super easy to use and a great size to throw in your bag and take with you on your adventures.

Both will be in the shop shortly. ~xo

custom album love

In my few years of selling books on etsy, I have realized that there are ebbs and flows to it, just like anything else. Patterns even.

And Spring and Summer is what I have come to call album season.

Partly I think this coincides with wedding season, since many custom albums will be used in relation to a wedding, and I am sure there are other very logical reasons as well. But regardless of the reason I have come to look forward to this time of year for (among other things) the weather, the coming road trips, and the albums.

This lovely is my most recent custom order. I am frankly quite in love with this paper. It makes me feel like I am in a Mexican villa somewhere about to step outside my back door and take a dip in the sapphire blue, ever so warm waters.
And that my friends sounds like a place where I would want to be.

It is a 10x14 album with a landscape layout and archival quality black pages. It features 30 pages, 60 front and back, and is quite lovely.

Feel free to convo if you are interested in any custom work of your own.

I hope the sun is shining and the coffee is flowing wherever you are this Sunday morning.

more book love

A lovely custom 12x12 50 page album in baby blue and a creme Spirograph print.

***

I just love this photo. Its what my morning looked like.

This cherry red baby is a medium lined journal and has been covered from head to toe in a lovely shade of red. Its one of those colors that energizes.

Usually I shy away from red, being a red head and all, but this one called to me.

This little lovely is an extra large address book that has been covered from head to toe in a green mandala print fabric. I am a big fan of this shade of green.

These will be posted in the shop shortly.

I hope everyone has weekend plans that bring a smile to your face. xo
